Final First

Bittersweet is the term that comes to mind as I rolled out of bed this morning. Today marks my daughters first birthday! Her last first, her official entrance into toddlerhood; even though she has been walking around like crazy these last few months. I’m still trying to wrap my head around where the year went. The old saying “Time Flies” is so true once you become a parent.

I did a "Smash Cake" Photo Shoot over Easter Weekend, decided I wanted to try my hand at a photo set-up & shoot. I have to pat myself on the back for this! Now if I could just figure out how to edit like a pro I'd be in business!! ;)
I don't know how professional photographers do it, because this child didn't want to cooperate too well. Besides the fact that she is constantly on the move, I had to shoot in sports mode to try and catch her!

I’d love to share her birthday party with you all. I choose an “UNO” theme since I found it to be more unique. It was fairly simple since I basically just decorated everything in primary colors of Red, Blue, Yellow & Green (a touch of black here and there too). So let’s get into it!

The weather was a bit chilly, but we set some tables up outside since we threw the party at home and the attendance was around 80! We also sang and did her cake outside in case there was a mess. Shockingly there was not. I can’t get enough of this chunk-a-munk!!

We decorated the house with balloons and streamers. My extremely talented Graphic Designer sister created the banners, invitations and Thank You notes for us.

Uno Party Straws
Some Adult Shooters - UNO style of course!

My youngest crafty sister created a 'WILD Card' headband, and a friend helped me with the iron-on for her dress! It all came together adorably.

I’d say her Uno Birthday was a 'WILD' Success! Now to brainstorm her “DOS” birthday party theme…any ideas? Leave me a comment!
